Moe and Larry are Mules who pull a replica canal barge filled with happy tourists up the Illinois and Michigan Canal.

They are two really cool dudes!

They live at the canal all summer and take turns pulling the boat upstream while costumed guides tell about life along the canal.

I felt that they needed the star treatment, so we worked up some information based on their reponses to my interview.

In the winter, and during high water the mules spend time at a lovely ranch that they call the “Mules Spa”. They relax in the warm barn, eat, read historical fiction, and watch Dr. Who. They also enjoy backgammon and Uno.
